Appointments

To reimburse clients, some insurance companies require a physician’s referral; if reimbursement is not an issue, clients may refer themselves.

Potential clients may wish to telephone the psychologist directly to obtain information about types of interventions available for specific problems, frequency of sessions, confidentiality, policies with regard to fees and payment, or other concerns. Being comfortable with a therapist is important to the outcome of therapy, and potential clients are encouraged to call and interview a prospective therapist before deciding to book a first session.

Inquiries are confidential and messages left on voice mail will be responded to promptly.

Fees

Fees are based on a standard hourly rate in keeping with fee recommendations set by the Ontario Psychological Association. Payment by cash, cheque, post-dated cheque, and VISA are all accepted.

Psychologists’ services are not covered by provincial health insurance but are usually included in supplementary health care plans, such as those provided by employers.
